Future Retrospectives speculates on the future by considering the past.
The exhibition is unified by a shared methodology: using the past as a lens through which we imagine the future. The exhibition highlights the interconnectedness of past, present and future by asking, “What will the future look like, and how did we get there?”
Andreas Krätschmer considers production methods, opting to handcraft using traditional woodworking techniques. Krätschmer's humble Offering bowl holds a future where handmade objects are favoured over mass-produced items.
Future Retrospectives spécule sur l'avenir en se penchant sur le passé.
L'exposition est unifiée par une méthodologie commune : utiliser le passé comme une lentille à travers laquelle nous imaginons l'avenir. L'exposition met en évidence l'interconnexion entre le passé, le présent et l'avenir en posant la question suivante : « À quoi ressemblera l'avenir et comment y sommes-nous arrivés ? »
Andreas Krätschmer s'intéresse aux méthodes de production et opte pour l'artisanat traditionnel du travail du bois. Son humble bol “Offering Bowl” incarne un avenir où les objets faits main sont préférés aux articles produits en série.
